Gameplay Review

In a nutshell
DEADROP was a vertical extraction shooter in development by Midnight Society, the studio co-founded by Dr Disrespect. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it featured high-stakes PvP and PvE combat, where players fought through multi-level skyscraper-like environments to extract valuable loot before being eliminated.
Planned as a free-to-play FPS, it aimed to integrate NFT-based cosmetics (weapons, skins, and characters) without a direct play-to-earn model. However, after Dr Disrespect’s departure from the studio due to controversy and subsequent layoffs, Midnight Society shut down on January 31, 2025, effectively canceling the project.
