Players compete to outsmart the undead and rival survivors, gathering resources like food, water, weapons, and in-game cosmetics, all while racing to secure a spot on the extraction helicopter. The game combines the intensity of battle royale with the ingenuity of stealth mechanics, challenging players to make strategic decisions under pressure.
Built on the Polygon blockchain, Last Remains integrates NFTs for characters, equipment, and skins, enabling players to trade, upgrade, or stake them in the “Search and Rescue” mini-game for additional rewards. Characters come in three types: Free-to-Play, NFT Characters with 60-day battle passes, and Genesis NFT Characters offering lifetime benefits. Items and equipment are graded (D-S), adding depth to customization and gameplay strategies.
The game fosters community engagement through competitive leaderboards, guild systems, and a revenue-sharing model where 50% of earnings are redistributed to players via rewards. Players can earn Zombie Tokens ($ZT) used for upgrades, marketplace fees, and voting on game features. Every match offers dynamic gameplay, featuring a shrinking rescue zone, environmental challenges like hunger and thirst, and sound-sensitive zombies. The game’s initial map is set in Chongqing, China, with randomized loot, weather effects, and AI-driven adversaries.
Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Last Remains delivers stunning visuals and optimized performance, targeting PC and Mac initially, with future plans for mobile and consoles. Distribution channels include Epic Games Store, Steam, and potentially PlayStation and Xbox, offering accessibility for both web2 and web3 gamers. The project is supported by prominent investors such as Animoca Brands, CoinFund, and Fabric Ventures.
